In the rush of daily life, self-care often falls to the bottom of the list. Between work, responsibilities, and the constant noise of the world, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves. But caring for your mental and emotional well-being isn’t a luxury—it’s essential.
Over the years, I’ve explored different ways to stay grounded and nurture mindfulness in small, meaningful moments. One of the most impactful shifts? Discovering self-care tools that help me feel more present, calm, and connected—even on the busiest days.
1. Spa Day
Taking a day to unplug with a cozy home spa is my go-to reset—especially when life feels overwhelming.
But let’s be real, knowing what products to use can feel like another task. That’s why I started using TheraBox, a self-care subscription that takes the guesswork out of relaxation.

As seen on Oprah, Forbes, Today Show, Good Morning America
- Cruelty free natural products
- Surprise every month
- Different boxes to choose from or mystery box
Last week’s box came with a lavender-infused bath soak, a cooling face mask, and an aromatherapy mist—and let me tell you, I actually felt like I exhaled for the first time in weeks.
Want to create your own mini spa day without stressing about what to buy?
2. Yoga
Yoga is one of my favorite ways to unwind while staying active. Just 15 minutes a day can help reduce stress, calm anxiety, boost energy, and even sharpen focus—especially when life feels overwhelming. Whether you follow a guided video or just stretch through a few poses on your own, the key is to keep it simple and consistent.

I love using this complete yoga kit that comes with everything you need to get started:
- Comfy yoga mat
- Two supportive blocks
- A strap
- Hand + mat towel
- A knee pad (because floor stretches on hard wood? No thanks).
But honestly, any mat you love will work—just create a space where your mind can slow down.
Adding yoga into your self-care routine can be a total game-changer for mental clarity and emotional balance.

3. Power of Journaling
Any journal of your choice will work, however a guided journal can be incredibly helpful for beginners who want to take full advantage of all the benefits of journaling, & it can help you stay on track.

This journal includes a section for:
- Morning gratitude (start everyday on a positive note)
- Top priorities (to focus on what really matters)
- Daily affirmations (boosts confidence)
- Evening prompt (reflect and learn each day)
- Challenges (weekly doses of motivation)
I enjoy taking time out of each day and dedicating that time to journaling and mindfulness practices. I can say without a doubt that my mental wellness significantly improved.

4. Meditation
Similarly to yoga, you can find plenty of great guided meditation apps or videos. I personally recommend Boho Beautiful Yoga on youtube (guided meditation).
Just 5-10 minutes of meditation daily can reduce stress, & improve focus.

A few examples that have worked well for myself in the past:
- Body scan meditation is the process of relaxing and acknowledging your body slowly from your feet up to your jaw and head in a comfortable position.
- Mindfulness meditation is the practice of being present with your thoughts. If your mind wanders don’t try to push it away, simply notice your thoughts & let them pass.
Tools from Therabox such as aromatherapy and calming teas can significantly enhance your experience.
5. Gratitude Practice
Gratitude is so important and a powerful way to shift your perspective and boost mental well-being. Simply writing down a few things you’re grateful for throughout each day will help you foster a positive mindset.
You can write these down in your journal, or make it your very own daily practice to integrate into your self care routine.
Incorporating yoga, journaling, meditation, a mindfulness practice, and tools like Therabox into your daily routine can truly transform your mental and emotional well-being. These practices work together to help you stay grounded, reduce stress, and foster a deeper connection with yourself.
